"Secara umum masyarakat sangat tertarik untuk terjun ke sektor pertanian karena melihat banyak potensi juga tapi terkendala infrastruktur dasar seperti jalan dan jembatan. Masyarakat meminta perhatian lebih dari negara untuk infrastruktur di Borneo Barat khsusnya Melawi," ujarnya.

Selain permasalahan infrastuktur menurut Yessy, masyarakat Melawi juga menitipkan permasalahan di bidang pendidikan dinilai masih sangat minim juga perhatiannya. Yessy mengaku siap memperjuangkan apa yang menjadi keluhan masyarakat tersebut di DPR RI.

"Infrastruktur dasar merupakan modal utama untuk bisa menunjang perkembangan sektor lain sperti pertanian, perekonomian, kesehatan, pendidikan dan lain sebagai. Kami juga akan terus mendorong pembangunan dan perbaikan infrastruktur dasar di Kalbar, karna mengingat juga kemampuan secara anggaran di tingkat Kabupaten juga sangat terbatas," pungkasnya. (*)
